What We Do & What We Don't Do

We’re a roofing company that understands insurance claims, not an insurance claims company that happens to install roofs. That difference shows up three years later, when most storm chasers are long gone and the flashing they skipped starts leaking.

What We Do
What We Don't Do
✓  Inspect and document damage with annotated photos before we open a proposal
✓  Walk you through the claims process step by step
✓  Be present at your adjuster meeting to make sure damage is properly documented
✓  Review the scope of loss with you and flag anything that was missed
✓  Advocate for what you're owed under your policy
✓  Complete the repair or replacement to the same standard as every other project we touch
✓  Back the work with a 10-year workmanship warranty on full replacements
✗  Speak on behalf of your insurance carrier
✗  Guarantee that your claim will be approved
✗  Promise a specific payout amount before the adjuster has evaluated the damage
✗  Pressure you to sign anything at the initial inspection
✗  Skip the flashing, ventilation, or underlayment details that adjusters can't see from the ground

How Does the Mortgage Endorsement Process Work?

Many homeowners don’t realize this until the insurance check arrives: if you have an outstanding mortgage, your lender is almost always listed as a co-payee on insurance claim payments. That means the check is made out to both you and your lender, and your lender has to endorse it before the funds are released. This is standard, and it’s not a problem. Every lender handles this slightly differently. Some are faster than others. We’ve been through this process with hundreds of homeowners in the Memphis market since 2012. If your lender is making it complicated, we’ve seen that too, and we’ll help you navigate it. Here’s what to expect:

Contact
Contact
Contact your lender’s loss draft department. This is a separate department from your regular mortgage servicer. Tell them you have an insurance claim payment and you need to begin the endorsement process.
Send the Check
Send the Check
Send the check and required paperwork. Most lenders require: the signed insurance check, a copy of your signed contract with ContractingPRO, a copy of the adjuster’s scope of loss, and proof of insurance for your contractor. We will provide you with everything we’re responsible for on that list.
Funds Release
Funds Release
Your lender may release funds in draws. Some lenders release the full amount upfront, and others release in two or three draws tied to project milestones (start, rough completion, final inspection). We’re familiar with this process and will work with your lender’s draw schedule.
Final Inspection
Final Inspection
Final draw after inspection. If your lender requires a final property inspection before releasing the last payment, we coordinate that directly and make sure the documentation they need is ready.
